​Dave Caldwell is a 1994 graduate of Marist College where he earned a degree in Psychology/Special Education while playing linebacker for the 1AA Red Foxes.  In 2001, Coach Caldwell served as head freshman coach for the Montgomery High School Cougars.  In 2002, Coach Caldwell came to Hopewell Valley as its first football coach since the reinstatement of football and has been at the helm since 2002 serving as the head coach.  In 2008, he coached the Bulldogs to a divisional title and a 6-4 record.  In 2013, the Bulldogs went a program best 10 – 1 and won the Central Jersey Group 3 Sectional Championship.  In both 2008 and 2013 he earned the Delaware Valley Hank Johns Coach of the Year Award.  Coach Caldwell is as an executive board member of the NJ North South All Star Classic and serves as the south squad team manager.  Coach Caldwell currently resides in Hopewell, NJ with his wife, Lourdes and their four children Chris 16, Mike 14, Luke 8 and Danielle 5.  ​
